OUR STORY - DEALUL VERDE

Before it was a boarding house, Dealul Verde was a dream. We were both tired of Bucharest, the pace and madness of the city and we were looking for saving ideas to escape. Contrary to the dreams that disappear from evening to morning, the Green Hill dream has stubbornly pursued us and built itself all around us, each time in an increasingly articulated form.

The first time we caught ourselves imagining a “Green Deal” on a vacation through Maramures, in 2015 while enjoying a trout with polenta at a boarding house built with our own hands and with a lot of effort by a family of locals. The hill in front of us invites us to dream and what we saw around us raised only by family members we had stopped to eat, encouraged us to believe that dreams come true when you really want to. And I dreamed. In the soft light of noon, with the wind rustling among the leaves of the trees, our idea of building a different, unique guesthouse, ours, after our inspiration, was slowly beginning to take shape. From that moment on, we both began to work tirelessly so that in the near future, our daily lives would take the form of that dream.

The perfect location for “Dealul Verde” we would discover only a few months later, after countless weekends in which we escaped from Bucharest in order to discover in reality the place that already existed in our minds and souls. On such a weekend, being only 40 km from Sibiu to watch the we don’t know the field dog that was for sale, a deer caught our attention, perched on top of a hill, practicing its tenor talent. As in a puzzle with emotions and feelings, we breathed a sigh of relief: we had just found the right place where our dream would come to life. After countless adventures and emotions, we opened the construction site in October 2018 and on December 27, 2019 we managed to open the gates of pensions.
